What Home is to Me

Home is odd socks,
and laughing a lot,
it’s bubble baths and splashing.
It’s cosy sofas and cosy arms,
hot chocolate, marshmallows
and morning alarms.
It’s the ‘goodnight mummy’,
the sticky fingerprints,
the love in your tummy,
it’s films and books,
pots and pans,
rushing in the morning,
holding hands.
It’s building dens
and playing games.
It’s collecting photos in photo frames.
It’s squeezing toothpaste
and funny faces.
It’s food in your belly
and messy places.
Home is Love,
a building love sits inside,
a place we’re together
with all that love can provide.
